Unlocking EU Funding for Danish Businesses

The Keys to Europe's Money was an initiative aimed at enhancing understanding of EU funding opportunities and relevant legislation for businesses in Denmark, in partnership with The European Ukrainian-Hub, Last Week in Denmak and Aalborg Institute for Development. It provided a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and practical insights into EU funding programmes and new directives, inspiring more Danish businesses to access and benefit from EU financial support.

The initiative unfolded as a series of four physical events in Aalborg, Odense, Aarhus, and Copenhagen. Each event featured a relaxed networking session for businesses to exchange experiences, an expert presentation on current EU funding opportunities and application processes, and a panel debate with experts from five fields (funding, business strategy, networking, legal & export, sales & marketing)—broadcast live on Facebook. Participants also engaged in rotating table discussions, gaining actionable insights from experts to overcome entrepreneurial challenges.

The initiative included printed materials, such as a 2,000-copy brochure with EU funding guides, application templates, and directive summaries, complemented by freely accessible digital resources. Targeting small and medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurs, and business organizations, The Keys to Europe's Money is designed as a recurring programme, regularly updated to reflect new EU policies and blending in-person events with digital dissemination to support Danish businesses effectively.
